The 44 km long Pastor Bode Trail leads once through the Lüneburg Heath, from the Hanseatic city of Lüneburg to Wilseder Berg. At 21 km, the first stage of the long-distance hiking trail is also the longest. Following in the footsteps of the heath pastor Wilhelm Bode, you hike from Lüneburg through the Böhmsholz nature reserve and the idyllic Luhetal valley to Salzhausen. Here you will find several places to stay overnight and stop for refreshments. Both the starting point and the end of the stage can be reached by bus and train.
