Oker Valley Circular Route

Popular circular hike in the Harz Nature Park, Lower Saxony. A beautiful, but also very popular hike in the Oker Valley, which sometimes leads close to roads. There are some rest stops and nice rest areas. The route is not consistently signposted. It is therefore advisable to use the route map as a guide (it is best to download it before the hike, as mobile phone reception is sometimes very poor or non-existent). There is a car park at the starting point, but it is also easily accessible by train and then by bus from the Oker (Waldhaus stop). At the weekend and in good weather, the path is sometimes quite full. If you like it quieter, you should take that into consideration. Nevertheless, a true natural jewel for young and old.
