This walk is perfect for an excursion with the whole family. Mostly on boardwalks, it leads through the picturesque Pietzmoor, one of the most popular attractions in the Lüneburg Heath. For safety reasons and as the hike leads through the Lüneburg Heath nature reserve, it is not permitted to leave the paths and dogs must be kept on a lead.
The Pietzmoor is home to rare bird and plant species such as cranes, sundew and the yellow bog lily.
