Deister-Kammweg between Egestorf and Bantorf

Idyllic hiking route near Barsinghausen in Lower Saxony. It starts at the Egestorf railway station. Head westwards along the Försterweg and into the dense forest, where there is also a forest playground. You come to the Polenzstein (memorial stone). On the Alter Kammweg, you cross the Bad Münder circular hiking trail. Passing the "Alte Taufe", a cuboid rock cliff at the edge of the path, you continue along the ridge path, which leads directly past the Barsinghausen telecommunications tower, until you reach the refuge of the same name at Kreuzbuche. The hiker continues northwards until they reach the "Window to the Primeval Forest", a great vantage point near Bad Nenndorf, which offers a magnificent view of the town and the surrounding area in good weather. This viewpoint is ideal both for a photo session and as a meeting point for a picnic. Passing the Steinbrink natural forest, you finally reach Bantorf railway station. Accessible by bus and train. There are refreshment stops close to the route.
