Dike hike from Greetsieler Hafen

Beautiful dyke hiking trail in Lower Saxony. Of all the hikes through nature, a dyke hike is something very special. It starts at the Greetsiel amber house, which is well worth a visit. Past the Sieltor gate, which is well worth seeing, and always along the Störtebeker Canal. At the customs house, you can enjoy the view of the vast sea and, with a bit of luck, spot sea and wild birds. As always, nature leads many lives; the hiker who simply observes and respects it is also welcome. The trail continues along the dyke by the North Sea, via the village of Norddeich and the Ostermarscher Watt and the Hilgenrieger Watt to the natural beach near Hilgenriedersiel. Norddeich is a well-known North Sea spa: in addition to the Seekurgarten, you can also visit the beautiful, popular wave park. As the dyke path runs directly along the harbour road to Norddeichmole, it is recommended that you also make a stop at Norden-Norddeich harbour. This interesting and healthy walk ends at the natural beach.
