Aller-Radweg Etappe 3: Gifhorn - Celle

This route follows the third stage of the Aller Cycle Route and connects Gifhorn with Celle in Germany. Starting in Gifhorn, home to the International Mill Museum and the Welf Castle, the cycle route follows the River Aller through the Südheide, via Müden and Langlingen. The route passes the historic Cistercian monastery in Wienhausen and runs along the banks of the Aller via Altencelle to the half-timbered town of Celle. Wild camping is strictly prohibited along the route; overnight stays are in guesthouses, hotels or at campsites. Standard cycling kit is sufficient. Drinking water can be topped up in the villages. The start and finish can be easily reached by Deutsche Bahn trains (https://www.bahn.de). The Aller Cycle Route is a 328 km (204 miles) long long-distance cycle route along the River Aller from Eggenstedt to Verden, which is usually cycled in 5 stages.
