A very varied hike starting at the Kurpark in Wiesbaden.
Just a short walk from the starting point, the ruins of Sonnenberg Castle are the first cultural and historical highlight. Gradually, you leave the city behind and the surrounding countryside takes centre stage. The route leads through the idyllic valley of the Goldsteinbach stream, through the Rabengrund FFH area and past the Leichtweißhöhle cave. It ends in the picturesque Nero valley before returning to the spa gardens.
It is possible to travel by bus and train. You can get off at Nerotal station, for example, and start the tour from there. There are refreshment stops in the old town.
