This varied mountain bike tour begins near the Groß-Umstadt market square. From here, there is MTB fun and a few meters of altitude to overcome. The first serious climb starts in the Klein-Umstadt vineyards (good fitness is required). Once on the saddle, the route follows the signs through the vineyards towards Ziegelwald and into the Raibacher Valley. The path then flattens towards the Rödelshäuschen – time to take a deep breath.
The route will soon reach the trail hollow path to the Kissinger Wünzerhütte and natural forest paths towards Heubach. In the small town, it goes the Wiesentalhalle and another climb. Finally, there is a fun descent that leads back to Heubach. We return to Groß-Umstadt via the Steinerwald.
