This very special Wisper Trail is a certified premium hiking trail.
The Greeks and Romans once believed that truth lay in wine. According to the Roman historian Tacitus, the Germanic tribes always drank wine at council meetings because they believed that drunk people could not lie.
This wine-and-truth tour takes you around the vineyards of Lorch. You pass the Mandelberg and the Lehrender Kopf and can enjoy great views of the Rhine.
At the end of the tour, you can of course stop off at one of Lorch's restaurants to sample the local wines. A real insider tip is the regionally grown Lorch Riesling.
We recommend travelling by bus and train so that you can enjoy the fine wines without regret. Lorch am Rhein railway station is just 800 metres from the starting point of the trail.
