This circular trail follows in the footsteps of shepherds. It leads across wide fields and along pretty forest edges in the Lahn Dill Bergland Nature Park. The hike covers many small landscape features, such as a quarry, a stream valley in the forest and unspoilt ponds. The trail leads along the Hörle river to its source. Here you can enjoy the beauty and diversity of the shady beech forest to the full. The walk is mostly along unspoilt, natural paths.
