Huguenots RTF 2019 - 153 Route

Official route of the RTF. This huge circular route is a profound test of endurance and follows the 153 kilometre course of the annual Huguenot RTF through the hilly and historically significant region of Hesse. The route starts near Neu-Isenburg and follows the path of the French Protestant refugees who settled in the area centuries ago, leading hikers into the northern foothills of the Odenwald. The route is characterised by its extreme length and considerable cumulative ascent on paved roads and reliable paths. Although technically straightforward, the immense mileage and vertical effort require a high level of fitness and careful planning to turn the course into a rewarding, multi-day traverse that highlights the region's beautiful scenery and enduring history.
