This route is one of the Habichtswald extra tours and is a certified premium hiking trail that starts in the idyllic half-timbered town of Naumburg. You hike through a beautiful cultural landscape, often along the edges of forests. A particular highlight is the Weidelsburg castle, from whose ruins you have an excellent view. A red circle with a white "H8" symbol points the way.
If you are travelling by bus or train, take line 52 from Kassel Wilhelmshöhe and get off at the "Vor dem Tor Naumburg (Hessen)" stop, just half a kilometre from the starting point of the hike.
