The beautiful village of Grünheide (Mark) lies between Mittelheide and Vorderheide. The route starts at the tourist information centre and leads along the sometimes populated, sometimes idyllic banks of the Peetzsee, then along the Locknitz into the extensive woodland area around the Möllensee. Here you move a little further away from the water at times to savour the wonderful greenery of the Brandenburg Forest. There are lovely places to stop for refreshments in the small villages along the hiking trail.
