This route evokes mixed feelings among ALLTRAILS users: on the one hand, there are beautiful forest paths, the idyllic Kleiner Lienewitzsee lake, the view of Schwielowsee lake and the Wietkiekenberg observation tower (old German for "see far"). On the other hand, the latter can only be used for refreshment at the Ferch lido - the rest of the eastern shore is overgrown with protected reed biotopes. In addition, the idyll is spoilt by the busy lakeside road, for which there is no alternative route. If travelling by train, it is best to look for a direct connection to Ferch-Lienewitz, as the route from Seddin station leads along a busy road and under the city motorway.
