This is the sixth and final stage of the almost 400 km long Havel Cycle Route, which follows the eponymous river from its source near Ankershagen to its mouth near Gnevsdorf and is one of the most beautiful river cycle routes in Germany.
The sixth stage of the Havel Cycle Route is around 67 kilometres long, starting in Rathenow and ending at the mouth of the Havel in Gnevsdorf. As you accompany the Havel on its final kilometres, you pass several idyllic nature reserves, beautiful lakes and Hanseatic towns worth seeing.
The starting point of this route can be reached by bus and train and once you reach the mouth of the river, you can continue to Wittenberge railway station, for example. There are overnight accommodation and refreshment stops.
