Idyllic nature hike in the Free State of Bavaria.
The Landsberger Lech in Upper Bavaria is located near the Pössinger Wald forest. This route starts directly at the Romantik camping park. From there, the route first leads to Jungholz and then continues in the opposite direction parallel to the nature trail to the Lech. This beautiful body of water has its source on the Rote Wand in the Lechtal Alps. Because of its unspoilt nature and in order to preserve it, it has been placed under protection. Its colour ranges from magical light blue-turquoise to jade green. It owes its colour to the high mineral content of the water and its very low temperature. The forest paths then take you to the well-kept, extensive game reserve. Wild boar and fallow deer live here. You pass through the Lechpark Pössinger Au and reach the Kneipp facility in the park of the same name. This is freely accessible and can also be used by walkers when the weather is fine. The route takes you back to the starting point on the south side.
