Stage 26 of the long-distance hiking trail "Wasserläufer-Route", Bavaria.
Together with the Himmelsstürmer-Route and the Wiesengänger-Route, the Wasserläufer-Route forms the "Wandertrilogie Allgäu" long-distance hiking trail network.
At just under 11 kilometres, the twenty-sixth and final stage of the Water Strider Route is one of the easier sections. Despite the short distance, there is plenty of variety on offer: the route takes you through fields and meadows, past idyllic ponds and interesting cultural monuments.
Marktoberdorf offers overnight accommodation and refreshment stops. Both the start and finish points have a railway station.
