This contemplative route leads through the gently rolling hills of the Upper Bavarian Pfaffenwinkel region and combines important religious sites with unspoilt nature. The trail opens up the region around the Hoher Peißenberg and runs along a varied mix of historic church paths, country lanes and shady forest trails. A central highlight is the pilgrimage church on the Hoher Peißenberg, which is considered one of the most beautiful vantage points in Bavaria and offers a 360-degree view from the Bavarian Alps to the foothills of the Alps. Along the route, red kites, yellowhammers and various orchid species can be observed in the wet meadows and at the edges of the forest. The route includes some steady climbs to the summit plateau, but remains a meditative experience thanks to the well-maintained paths.
