The Steinkart circular trail is one of the most beautiful unspoilt hiking trails in eastern Bavaria. However, the hiking trail shown here does not cover the entire route, but instead shortens it by approx. 2 km with trail A6. The hiking trail is very varied and offers some very mystical places as well as wonderful views. Most of the route leads along forest paths and tracks through wooded areas. The few places where you walk on side roads are virtually untrodden. The entire trail is well signposted (hiking trail 6) and also offers several shortcut options (trails A6, A7 and A8). An overview board about the hiking trail with the existing shortcuts is available at the hiking car park, which is also the start and end point of the hiking trail. As there is only the possibility of stopping for a snack in a pub in St. Salvator, it is a good idea to take something to eat with you and look for some nice places to take a break along the way. Parking is available at the start and end of the route.
