Wilmersdorf Circular Route

Charming circular route around Wilmersdorf, Bavaria. This trail begins and ends in Wilhermsdorf, Bavaria. After initially following the railway line through the Zenn valley, the route climbs up the hill and quickly leads through fields and forests. At the right time of day, deer and many other animals at the edge of the forest can be spotted. The first highlight of the trail is the Staakreizgärtla, a collection of historic stone crosses and boundary markers, some of which date back to the 16th century. The path turns sharply to the west, across agricultural fields, crosses a little-used tarmac road and then reaches the picturesque Lenzenweier pond. A short detour leads to the old Jewish cemetery in Wilhermsdorf, another highlight of this trail. The last part of the loop leads through the municipality of Unterulsenbach back to the historic centre of Wilhermsdorf. Highlights: - Zenn valley - Jewish cemetery
