This circular trail across the Jura heights, which is particularly interesting from an archaeological point of view, is a certified premium hiking trail with a great mix of forest sections, open fields and vivid insights into the settlement history of the region. The exciting historical facts of the "Fundreich Thalmässing" are explained to hikers by means of information boards. A particular highlight are the more than 35 burial mounds near the Waizenhofener Espan, one of the largest burial mound fields of the Middle Bronze Age in the whole of Middle Franconia.
