München zur Drei-Seen-Tour

From the heart of Munich to the rugged peaks of the Mangfallgebirge, this journey demands a high level of physical endurance and absolute surefootedness. The route leads over the summits of the Jägerkamp, the Rotwand and the Bodenschneid, with exposed ridges and sections secured with wire ropes. Hikers experience a dramatic change in landscape from the Isar floodplains to blooming alpine meadows and the three lakes: Spitzingsee, Schliersee and Tegernsee. Historically, these paths served as important connections for herdsmen and hunters, with the Rotwandhaus serving as a high-altitude refuge since 1906. Due to the technical alpine passages and steep rocky crags, this tour is categorised as T3 according to the SAC scale.
