The MTB tour starts at the car park on the Höhenweg between Münster and Walkertshofen. The route initially leads along forest and field paths to Siegertshofen. Shortly after Totenschläule, a steep trial takes you to the highest point of the Buchberg. After a descent, you leave Itzlishofen (Vögele) on the left and the route first goes uphill and then downhill again to Döpshofen.
After crossing the Schwarzach there, the tour leads to Scheppach Chapel, Burgwalden, Reinhardshofen, Guggenberg Castle and Klimmach. From there, the route leads back down to the Schwarzach and gently uphill to its source. The route continues up and down towards Erkhausen and Grimoldried.
