Beautiful circular route in the Fichtelgebirge, Bavaria.
A great, not too long hike that always has some nice surprises in store: One highlight of the circular route is the ruins of the former rock castle, whose history dates back to at least the 13th century. There is also the Schönburgwarte on the Großer Kornberg mountain - it is open all year round and freely accessible. There is a great panoramic view from here.
