The Holzwinkel cycle route leads on mainly tarmac roads but also partly on gravel paths that are difficult to cycle on from Adelsried via Welden to Emersacker, then via Lauterbrunnen, Heretsried and Bonstetten back to Adelsried. Steep ascents are expected on the unmarked forest track through the Stättnerwald forest and on the stretch from Heretsried towards Bonstetten.
The Holzwinkel cycle path is marked with orange-colored signs bearing the emblem of the Kult(o)ur-Sommer and the words "Holzwinkel-Radweg."
