The starting point of this varied tour is Fürstenried-West railway station (accessible by bus and train). From the station, the route first leads through the beautiful Forstenrieder Park and then west of Lake Starnberg towards the south. Here you pass the Maisinger See nature reserve and several pretty villages such as Machtlfing and Wielenbach. After going round the Osterseen nature reserve, you roughly follow the course of the Loisach and return to the starting point of the tour via the marvellous landscape of the Isarauen nature reserve between Schäftlarn and Bad Tölz. There are places to stay overnight and stop for refreshments, so this tour can also be cycled in several stages if required.
