Popular Goldsteig feeder route in the Bavarian Forest Nature Park, Bavaria.
Since summer 2012, a new connecting route has enabled Goldsteig hikers to hike from the Pröller summit (southern route) to the Arber summit (northern Goldsteig route). From Pröller, the route goes down via Kollnburg to Viechtach. The trail continues via Neunußberg to Ries, Thalersdorf, Arnbruck / Höbing and then up to the Ecker Sattel. You now have the option of either hiking to the Großer Arber or continuing north-west over the Kaitersberg towards Furth im Wald.
