Gleißental Trail

This route literally leads over hill and dale, fields and meadows. Quite a short MTB tour with a journey time of just over an hour, around 16 kilometres and approx. 200 metres. Average requirements. From Deisenhofen S-Bahn station in the direction of the Sauerlach cycle path. Shortly after the bridge over the old Gleißental tunnel (parallel to the railway line), turn right onto a path. It goes straight down steeply on a section of the formerly known "big S" to the "valley town" of the Schlittenberge. Once at the bottom, turn left up the "Katzenbuckel". Continue along the path there and then turn right over hill and dale. Once you reach the edge of the forest, ride along to the right until you reach a path in the forest again. Then it goes down steeply again. When you reach the bottom again, the road climbs steeply again on the other side and you come back to the road towards the S-Bahn station. After approx. 100 metres, turn left onto the hiking trail towards Deininger Weiher. Shortly before the forest begins, turn right again along the edge of the forest. After approx. 500 metres, turn left onto a forest path into the forest. Shortly afterwards you will come to a clearing in the power line. Turn left there and then head slightly downhill. At the bottom, immediately turn left up a hollow path. At the top, you are back on the forest road from before. Keep left, pass the power line clearing and after approx. 100 metres follow a path to the left. The path then descends steeply and you reach the hiking trail at the reservoir. Then turn left again. You pass the well-known climbing garden and shortly afterwards turn right up the forest road. After approx. 30 metres, follow a path into the forest on the right. After approx. 200 metres you come to a clearing. Cross this and follow the path again. You then cycle above the reservoir on a narrow path directly alongside the protective fence. At the end of the fence, the path descends steeply to the hiking trail. At the bottom, turn left towards Deininger Weiher. At the connecting road between Ödenpullach and Kreuzpullach, turn left up the road. At the top, turn left along the edge of the forest. The path then leads into the forest. After approx. 500 metres, take a steep left down the hill towards the hiking trail. Turn left again until you reach the road and then turn right towards Ödenpullach. After about 30 metres, take a path on the right. Follow this and then turn right along the edge of the forest. Then turn left and then immediately right again. Follow this path (leads above the hiking trail towards Deisenhofen). At the end of the path, take a short left out of the forest. Then turn right at the edge of the forest and immediately turn right into a small ditch that leads back to the hiking trail. At the bottom, turn left again towards Deisenhofen. Shortly before the end of the hiking trail, turn right up the old natural bobsleigh track. Follow the path into the forest and then out of the forest again. Turn left again at the power line clearing and then left on the cycle path between Deisenhofen and Oberbiberg. The tour is over at the end of the cycle path. Turn left onto the road back towards the S-Bahn station.
