A beautiful short hike on firm and easily accessible paths. Many information boards provide information about the geological location, plants and the nature reserve. The Kaltenecker Stube restaurant is recommended. If you want to plan a stop - you should definitely call in advance.
Sometimes a path, sometimes a track, sometimes a steep slope, sometimes steps - this path is much more difficult to walk than the western bank. However, the effort is rewarded by a very attractive, constantly changing landscape and, of course, the ascent of the Peilstein. Wonderfully shady in summer and nice and frosty in winter :-).
Note: The section on the eastern bank should be avoided in snow, rain and frost for safety reasons. There are only a few places that can be very dangerous. This part requires the hiker to be sure-footed.
