This hike starts and ends at the Sackdilling hiking car park at Krottenseer Forst. Torches or headlamps are necessary for exploring the caves. The rocks in the Sackdilling rock labyrinth are reef rocks from the Jurassic period, around 150 million years ago. The impressive rock area is located in the Franconian Switzerland / Franconian Jura Nature Park. The rock labyrinth fascinates visitors with its dizzyingly high rock formations and eerie caves that lead deep into the mountain and are freely accessible.
