It goes from the north of Erlangen through the Erlangen Meilwald forest via the Marloffstein clay pit through Neunkirchen am Brand into Franconian Switzerland. Once across the Haarbachwald forest, the hike leads through Hetzles back to Erlangen via the Rathsberg. There are several places to stop for refreshments on the hike and it can also be split into two one-day stages if you stay overnight in Neunkirchen or Hetzles.
