An enjoyable cycle tour along the Alz between Altenmarkt and Seebruck. The upper Alz is still very natural and meanders beautifully through the landscape. The tour starts at the Baumburg monastery brewery car park in Altenmarkt. After about 3 kilometres, take the Alz ferry at Roiter to cross over to the left bank of the river. The route now continues upstream to Lake Chiemsee, from where the Alz flows out. In Seebruck, you switch to the right-hand side of the river and cycle back to the starting point. Those interested in history will also get their money's worth here: Celts, Romans and Bavarians have left their traces in the area.
