Very nice trail through the Ebersberger Forst on the marathon distance. 42.195km and 208 metres in altitude.
Start and finish near Baldham S-Bahn station. Parking available at the Park&Ride car park. Mainly easy to run, some sections with thick roots. Also possible as a hike or by bike.
Very nice single trails on forest floor. The most beautiful trails you can find here. >80% of the route is in the forest. The trails are marked hiking trails. At Ludwigshöhe there is a marvellous view from a viewing tower (approx. 30m). Lake Egglburg is a bird sanctuary with many native bird species.
The Ebersberg Forest is usually very monotonous due to its strictly square path layout, but these varied hiking trails (including a nature study trail, a nature sculpture trail and a trim trail) break through this grid and are among the most beautiful in the south of Munich. Due to its status as a hiking trail, falling trees are regularly removed.
The Forsthaus St. Hubertus is a lovely beer garden in the middle of the forest where you can take a break. The route is very popular in many places in summer. However, if you start early, you will be largely undisturbed.
