Opened in 2000, the Drei-Franken-Stein-Weg leads through the low mountain landscape of the Drei-Franken-Eck in the Steigerwald, which is characterised by deciduous forests and orchards. Churches, castles and fortresses can also be found along the approximately 46-kilometre circular route, which most hikers complete in two day stages.
