Panoramic hike in the Altmühltal Nature Park, Bavaria.
The route starts in Enkering, from where it climbs up to the ruins of Romburg Castle, which dates back to the 14th century. The route continues along the forest to the ruins of Stossenberg Castle. From there, there are also wonderful views of the Anlautertal valley, the village of Altdorf and the ruins of Brunneck. The route now leads to the Wieseck castle stables and then on to Erlingshofen. The route follows the course of the river for a while and reaches the Schafhauser church. From there it goes to the Mallburg castle and along the "Teufelsmauer" downhill again to the "Festen Haus" Eibwang and the Schlößlmühle mill. Idyllic forest paths lead back to the starting point.
