The start and end of the circular route is the car park at the fitness trail in the municipality of 88639 Wald (on the district road from Wald to Rast). The route initially starts in the opposite direction to the trim trail. After about 1 km, you leave the trim trail and follow forest and field paths to Rothenlachen, where you can enjoy a marvellous view of the Alps from the water reservoir. The route continues on a tarmac road with little traffic to Gasthaus Süßlöchle, and from there on a tarmac footpath and cycle path towards the village of Wald. Before reaching Wald, the route branches off to the left and follows forest paths back to the car park at the Trimm-Dich-Pfad. Approx. 25 per cent of the route is asphalted, the rest is gravelled forest paths, which can also be used by bicycles (not racing bikes).
