Titisee - Windeck - Feldberg - Fahler Waterfall

This hike leads right through the heart of the Upper Black Forest and connects the region's most famous lake with its highest peak and a spectacular waterfall. The route starts right at Titisee railway station. From the starting point at Titisee, the trail leads steadily uphill over the Windeck ridge with its many views. The route leads through rustic mixed mountain forests of spruce, fir and beech, where the rare capercaillie has an important refuge. An absolute highlight is reaching the summit of the Feldberg, which lies above the tree line and is home to sub-alpine bristlegrass meadows. The paths around the Feldberg and thewaterfall are stony and rooty. The tour also requires a very good level of fitness due to the metres in altitude.
