Idyllic nature hike in the UNESCO Swabian Alb biosphere reserve.
The starting point is the car park at the Kreuzeiche stadium in Reutlingen. Along the Markwasen, you reach a road that leads into the forest and then becomes a path, the Gurgelweg. This leads a good distance along the pretty Breitenbach stream, past beautiful clearings with picnic facilities and then away from the stream westwards until you reach the L 383 at Hofgut Alteburg. Continue southwards across beautiful meadows and fields to Falkenhof. Then the forest begins again, where a small climb leads up the Lenzensteigle to the Stöffelberg. On the way back, follow the familiar Breitenbach back to the starting point. Accessible by bus and train. There are refreshment stops at the start and end of the route.
