This cycling marathon, often referred to as the Symbadian Cycling Marathon, is an extreme test of endurance. The route starts near Ettenheim and leads deep into the challenging low mountain ranges of the Black Forest, covering almost 200 kilometres. There are also some steep and strenuous climbs. This requires excellent physical condition. The reward for the effort is an unforgettable tour through the deep, green forests and to the breathtaking vantage points of the Black Forest, which offer sweeping views across the Rhine plain and in some places as far as the Vosges mountains.
