Permanente RTF: Albtour zum Schloss Lichtenstein

Permanent RTF "Albtour zum Schloss Lichtenstein" organised by RV Pfeil Tübingen. Official route, further details can be found directly from the organiser: https://www.rvpfeil-tuebingen.de/. The tour leads via Gomaringen, Pfullingen and Lichtenstein to the Alb plateau in Engstingen. The Alb ascent is via the lime kiln (Stoppomat mountain time trial, approx. 1 km extra to the finish) and Lichtenstein Castle. The cycle path along the museum railway takes you to the Lauterquelle spring in Offenhausen. The route continues flat on cycle paths and farm tracks past St. Johann to Eninger Weide. After the descent from Eningen, a few short, steep ramps take you to the Scheibengipfel below the Achalm, allowing you to cycle around Reutlingen to the east with great views. The route is hilly again via the northern districts of Reutlingen before rolling back to Tübingen on the Neckar valley cycle path from Kirchentellinsfurt. Viewing tip at Lichtenstein Castle: The best free view of the castle is if you cycle briefly over gravel on the right before the old forester's lodge. To the right of the castle is an unpaved path to the Hauff monument with a beautiful view of the Echaz valley.
