The route leads through the Kaltenbronn forests - one of the most sensitive ecosystems with raised bogs, Hohlohsee, Wildsee, with cirques and boulder slopes in the northern Black Forest landscape and offers some magnificent views on a relaxed route.
The trail begins in Kaltenbronn and follows the Postweg. It then turns right onto the Oberer Hornweg and later leads past the Jägerschaukel, a beautiful viewpoint with a swing, and continues through the Wildseemoor, past the Wildsee lake. The last landmark is the Leonhardhütte, which is a good resting place.
