Stage 5 of the long-distance hiking trail "Donau-Zollernalb-Weg", Baden-Württemberg.
This is the fifth stage of the Donau-Zollernalb-Weg quality trail, which runs for almost 160 kilometres from Beuron in the Danube valley to Lemberg and crosses the highest part of the Swabian Alb. The fifth stage starts in Veringenstadt and the hike ends in Gammertingen. The beautiful route enchants with varied landscapes, great views of the Lauchert valley and impressive rock formations. The cultural highlight is Hettingen Castle. There are overnight accommodation and refreshment stops at the end of the stage, but not en route (pack provisions!).
