Best trails near Schloss Schwörstadt

This segment leads almost continuously through the forests on the banks of the Rhine river. Here it leads through moraine walls to the foot of the foothills of the Black Forest. Along the way are the ruins of several Roman watchtowers and the "Bürkli" earthworks near Riburg, part of the late Roman Rhine fortifications. This trail starts in Möhlin at the train station and then it goes up to the Rhine river. It goes past the Unterforst and Mumpf and then continues along the bank of the river to Bad Säckingen. There it is possible to board the train again at Stein-Säckingen station and simply enjoy the cultural landscape.

This great hiking route includes the 8th and 9th segment of the ViaRhenana from Laufenberug via Bad Säckingen to Rheinfelden. The ViaRhenana runs along the historic waterway between the Untersee and the Hochrhein. The first part (segment 8) from Laufenburg to Bad Säckingen leads past monumental river power plants. This great mountain bike tour leads through parts of the beautiful Aargau Jura Park. It begins in Möhlin at the train station and leads on paved roads via Riburg to the banks of the Rhine. Then it goes directly along the banks of the Rhine, through an idyllic forest to Wallbach. There are several picnic areas with barbecue grills on this part of the route. The last section leads through several fields to Möhlin.
