!BUT BEWARE - THE LAKE IS NOT A SWIMMING LAKE!
You can relax, unwind and make great nature observations. To protect the biodiversity that has developed here, it is not permitted to leave the paths in the 1500-hectare nature reserve and therefore swimming is also not permitted.the nearby Lake Schladitz is a good alternative for anyone looking for a place for water-based leisure activities. The area is one of the largest and most important nature reserves in Saxony. Especial species such as wolves, white-tailed eagles, otters, beavers and, above all, a nationally outstanding bird population have settled here. Over 500 animal species and more than 270 plant species have been recorded to date.
