Founded in 1965, the Schwalm-Nette Nature Park is located in the far west of North Rhine-Westphalia on the Dutch border. It is part of the German-Dutch Maas-Schwalm-Nette Nature Park. Scenic circular route in North Rhine-Westphalia. This tour leads south of Roermond along the Meuse dykes to Maastricht. There it heads east again towards the German-Dutch border and through the Selfkant back home towards Niederkrüchten. A trip that can be completed in a good 2 hours.
