The Western Pomerania Lagoon National Park includes Baltic Sea and lagoon waters as well as land areas in Western Pomerania. With an area of 78,600 hectares, it is officially the largest national park in Germany. The two islands of Rügen and Darß-Zingst are probably the best-known regions within the national park.
