The Wilhelmshagen-Woltersdorfer Dünenzug nature reserve is located in the east of Berlin near Lake Müggelsee. The four kilometre long and one kilometre wide area consists of an inland dune complex formed during the last ice age.

There is a small campsite on the lake shore and fishing is permitted. Due to its proximity to the city, Flanksee is a popular weekend destination for Berliners.
