Best easy trails in Naturschutzgebiet Südufer des Simssees

Biotope, moor and bathing lake with a wonderful view of the Alps - that is what characterises the Simssee nature reserve. The lake is up to 22.5 metres deep and has a circumference of 14 kilometres. Nevertheless, it borders on 5 municipalities. Due to its size, it is quite warm and there are several popular bathing spots. The Simssee nature reserve is located on the southern shore, where you can explore fens, lowland and raised bogs, as well as biotopes and alluvial forests.
