Best easy trails in Jena

Beautiful themed trail in the Rautal valley near Jena, Thuringia. A wonderful circular route and something very special if walked at the right time of year. In spring, the thousands of winter aconites (Eranthis hyemalis) create a sea of yellow flowers here in the Rautal forest. The route follows near-natural paths. Sturdy footwear is recommended, also because it can often still be muddy in spring. Highlights: - Wildflowers - Information boards - Burschenplatz and Steinbach near the route
