Best wildflower trails in Steinigtwolmsdorf

This route leads to the Czech North Cape, the northernmost point of the Czech Republic in Saxon Switzerland, more precisely in the Schluckenauer Zipfel. Here, the sandstone of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains has already merged with the granite rocks of Upper Lusatia.

A beautiful one-day circular hiking tour awaits you here. It follows the German-Czech border for a while, takes you to the Czech Norkap (the northernmost point of the Czech Republic), leads you through the disused open-cast mining area of Valtengrund and continues uphill on a partly quite stony but very beautiful path up to the Valtenberg. At the top of the Valtenberg there is an inn and a viewing tower. For an entrance fee of 1 euro, you can enjoy a beautiful panoramic view (as of 10/2017)....
